What are they and how should they be used?! Im glad you asked. A caricature is a cartoon version of a real person. Most caricatures have exaggerated facial features, but ours are more in a cartoon/animated style. First I get a hold of the actual person's picture. In this example we have one of Atlanta Tech Village's Pros Erin. Second, I hand draw the person in my art style and I add a few extra details like the gloves and a big pencil. And last, I redraw it in full color vector using Adobe Illustrator. Sounds simple, doesnt it? The pencil drawing and vector illustration takes between 3-4 hours depending on the person's features. Some features take a few revisions to get it right. At the End of the Kickstarter, The Workshop Owner Backers will receive a web resolution image of their caricature plus high resolution copies so they can add their image to tshirts, banners and even billboards! "Without art, life appreciates nothing. Without life, nothing appreciates art." -anonymous We have launched a Kickstarter Campaign to fund my Comic Book and Mobile Game I call Art Life. Art Life is the story of the average artist told in a mobile game kids and adults can enjoy and also told in a comic book that explores the lives of artists and their quest for success while maintaining their core values that got them into art in the first place. Basically the life Ive lived as an Artist! ... and most artists today. Denominator, Penni, Agent Skully, Mecha, El Deño, Nubs and CMC. These characters are based on myself, all a little bit of my self, all different with their own story. They live the Art Life and they are focused on competing in Pencil Wars. Yes, the story is based on real life. Support our Campaign and Spread the word! http://kck.st/I4zyRs |
